The Networking event within the project “Family Friendly Sport – Achieving Sustainable Family-Friendly Sport Ecosystem” was implemented in Brussels, Belgium, from 9 to 12 November 2023. This activity enabled sports clubs and organizations that have successfully implemented the FFS approach in their work to connect, share experiences, exchange best practices, and link up among themselves and with other clubs and organizations headquartered in Brussels. At the event, the Family Friendly Sport network and label were officially presented and launched, alongside certification procedures for sports clubs and organizations for acquiring the FFS label and becoming a member of the FFS network. This event also served as a launching spot for the official platform of the project – familyfriendlysport.net, containing a set of innovative Guidelines and Policy recommendations for implementing FFS in the work of clubs around Europe.
On the verge of the event and before the official launch of the FFS network, partners have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation and Network founding document. The network is designed to connect sports clubs and organizations that are actively working on the popularisation and expansion of the family-friendly sports approach.
The project is co-funded by the European Union.
