The basic idea of the SENTYR project – Self-awareness and entrepreneurship for youth at risk of exclusion – is to promote youth entrepreneurship as a tool to empower young people in vulnerable situations. The main goal is to develop and disseminate methodologies that help assess the needs of young people at risk of exclusion and work with them to promote their social and labor inclusion, providing them with tools to start their own businesses.
During the project, two key methodological guides were developed: one for assessing the needs of young people at risk of exclusion and another for working with these groups effectively. These guides, published in 2019, are designed to help associations and professionals engage with youth groups with fewer opportunities while empowering them to become entrepreneurs. The young beneficiaries of the project include those who have not completed their studies, those with disabilities, and those facing geographical barriers or health issues, among others.
The final event of the project, organized by Backslash in Quart de Poblet, brought together more than 160 people. During this event, the project results were presented, and three simultaneous workshops were held where participants could experiment with innovative tools developed during the project.
