Project Dates: 03/01/2023-03/03/2024

The aim of the CONFIDENT project is to address the negative impact of social media on young people’s mental health, promoting a healthier and more conscious use of these platforms. To achieve this, the project has developed tools and methodologies that enable youth professionals and young people to understand and address the challenges associated with self-image and mental health in the digital age. Through research, training and peer learning, CONFIDENT seeks to transform the online communication paradigm towards a more positive and resilient one.

Among the project’s highlighted activities are the development of the CONFIDENT Map, which offers a scientific review on the relationship between social media and mental health; the implementation of a CONFIDENT Training and Methodology Programme to train youth educators; and the creation of an Online Peer Learning Platform, designed to offer a safe and educational space for young people, integrating gamification elements to encourage active participation.

In addition, local workshops, national seminars and a final conference were held in Spain, bringing together more than 60 people, including young people, educators and policy makers. Project outcomes include the training of 12 youth educators in specific methodologies, the implementation of 75 local workshops involving 500 young people, and the creation of educational resources used by over 60 organizations and 60 national seminar participants.
