The objective of the E-Coach project is to create a digital learning pathway for young people and youth professionals, through the development of the innovative role of ‘E-Coach’. This approach aims to connect with the hardest-to-reach young people, especially those whose social interactions are mainly online, and offer them support in their personal development, employability and social skills. The project combines digital education with personalised coaching, taking advantage of the latest technologies to provide modern educational tools.
The project has developed a comprehensive training curriculum for future e-coaches, with a microlearning approach. This method offers short and flexible modules designed to suit the needs of youth workers and trainers. In addition, the ‘E-Coach Learning Experience’ platform was created, which serves as a centralised space where users can access educational resources, practical tools and certifications based on internationally recognised micro-credentials.
We highlight the introduction of the E-Coach role as a new formal occupation in the field of youth work, which promotes the recognition of youth workers’ competencies.
A final conference was held in Valencia with the participation of international partners, where the results of the project were presented to more than 30 youth workers and future youth professionals. We also had the opportunity to discuss and analyse how the generated materials could be applied in the local reality of youth workers.
