The project Supporting Youth Development with Tennis and Career-Oriented Approach aims to encourage young people to practice tennis as a tool for personal and professional development. Inspired by the need to combat sedentary lifestyles and promote healthy living, the project seeks to combine sports training with leadership activities, teamwork, and career guidance. Additionally, its goal is to bring this sport to regions with limited access to sporting opportunities, creating an inclusive and formative approach.
Among the materials created is a specialized training module that combines tennis coaching with activities focused on personal and professional development, such as leadership workshops and career planning. This module was implemented with resources adapted to digital methodologies to ensure its continuity during the COVID-19 pandemic. Research studies were also carried out, and reports on athlete training were created, based on international examples provided by the project partners.
During the implementation, tennis training sessions were successfully completed, allowing young people to develop the skills necessary to participate in tournaments. The use of digital methodologies facilitated the adaptation of the program, and physical activities gained more prominence after the relaxation of pandemic restrictions. Furthermore, the project increased the visibility of tennis in the participating communities, supported the training of local coaches, and strengthened cooperation among international partners, creating a network that combines sport and education to generate sustainable opportunities for the future.
